About A Brooklyn Pizzeria

Located at 10450 Friars Rd, San Diego, CA 92120, A Brooklyn Pizzeria operates as a pizza restaurant serving San Diego in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In San Diego, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across California on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Absolutely love coming and eating here. The owner himself is in there all of the time, and he is the nicest person ever. You can tell he takes a genuine interest towards getting to know his customers, and he’ll even make recommendations based off of what he knows you like if you go there enough. This is by far, my number one New York pizza spot in San Diego, I can’t find a place more authentic than this. The prices are also pretty good here, especially for how much pizza you get. Would definitely recommend trying this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

Really good pizza! I dropped in for a quick bite and was not disappointed. I got the $10 special, two slices and a Coke. This is a big pizza with a thin crust so you get a little flop on the end. I got two slices around 2:00, so it was after the lunch crowd, and the pizza was still good. I can’t wait to order a whole pizza.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ After living in San Diego for 10 years, I finally found the pizza I’ve been searching for β€” and I couldn’t be happier! This place makes pizza with tuna, green olives, and eggplant, just like back home. The moment I took my first bite, it brought me straight back to my country and all the memories I grew up with. The flavors are amazing, the dough is perfect, and the ingredients are fresh and generous. The service is also excellent β€” friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel like family. I’ve been waiting years to find a place like this, and now that I did, I’m definitely coming back again and again. Highly recommended!

The owner is a super cool guy I got to meet him during one of my visits to this place. The pizza is great amazing flavor. The sauce has great flavor. The garlic knots are crispy on the outsized and soft on the inside. I bought a whole pie here for my coworkers and I. They have gone here for lunch now as well.

This is a small pizzeria that offers various Italian dishes - pizza, calzone, pasta, etc. We ordered a Brooklyn Bridge pizza (meatball, sausage and pepperoni), garlic bread and garlic cheese bread. The garlic bread was a bit salty but got a good flavor. The pizza was thin crust, just the way I liked it. The staff was very friendly. The order took a bit longer because the pizza was made fresh upon ordering. I would go back to try Margarita pizza and garlic knots next time.
